Know your ABC’s of Diabetes
A1C – Your average blood glucose over 3 months. The goal A1C is less than 7% for most people with diabetes.
Blood Pressure – For most people with diabetes, goal blood pressure is less than 130/80.
Cholesterol – LDL or the “bad” cholesterol should be less than 100 mg/dl. Triglycerides “fat in the blood” should be less than 150 mg/dl. HDL “good” cholesterol should be greater than 50 mg/dl.
