KRDHD provides Harm Reduction Needle Exchange Program in accordance with Senate Bill 192. The programs are modeled after successful programs in Kentucky and guidance is provided by KY Department of Public Health and CDC.

WHAT DOES THIS PROGRAM OFFER?

  • Safe disposal of used needles
  • Exchange used needles for clean needles
  • Testing for HIV, Hepatitis C and STDs (optional)
  • Adult vaccinations
  • On-site substance abuse treatment referrals (optional)
  • Education
